 3rd bass released their sophomore studio album June 18 1991

MC Serch, Prime Minister Pete Nice & DJ Richie Rich known together as 3rd Bass released their second and last studio album,  Derelicts of Dialect on June 18, 1991 via Def Jam Recordings. The album features guest appearances from Chubb Rock, Nice & Smooth, and KMD. It has the 91 smash hit Pop Goes the Weasel


Heltah skeltah released their debut studio album "nocturnal" June 18 1996

The Brownsville Hip Hop duo, Heltah Skeltah made up of Sean Price aka Ruck (deceased) and Rockness, released their first album Nocturnal on June 18, 1996 through Duck Down Music and Priority Records. The album peaked at number 5 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop albums and number 35 on the US Billboard 200. Nocturnal features the singles Leflaur Laflah Eshkoshha, Therapy and Operation Lockdown.
