Puff Daddy released his first album "no way out" July 1 1997
On this day in Hip Hop History,  Puff Daddy (now Diddy/Love) released his first album No Way Out, together with his Bad Boy family through Arista and Bad Boy Records on July 1 1997. The album was certified multi-platinum and charted number 1 on both US Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums Charts. The lead single hit, I'll Be Missing You is one of the best selling singles of all time. It also received multi-platinum certification by the RIAA.
